Rez Sigs have always been on their skillbars. How they use them is what has changed.
Initially in Factions, the henchies would only use a rez sig if no living member of the team had a hard rez. If a healer or spirit henchman was still alive, we could expect a long wait before the first rez.
After the recent update, to the delight of many, the henchmen became more aggressive with their rezzing. This leaves us with only a few minor issues.
1. The hencmen carrying Rez Sig will burn theirs unneccessarily. I have seen them rez a fallen comrade just before the last enemy dies, effectively wasting a signet, rather than wait for another to use a hard rez.
2. The other issue is that they need to know when to, and also be able to retreat, return, then rez. Couldn't they just break away from aggro for a moment, then return to rez? IMO only a sole survivor with a spent Resurrection Signet should suicide himself.

The res sig usage causes problems. While I normally run a hard res, occasionally, I have a char with professions other than monk or rit and that means, a res sig on my bar.
Now, I took the henchies out for a quest, someone dies, they res. We end up with three people still up, the monk is down.. and.. no-one has a res sig left! Used to be that the henchies used their res sig as last emergency backup only. I miss that... The other problem I'm encountering is that when I have a hard res, by the time I've ressed someone, or the monk hench has.. some idiot hench has used his or her res sig,.. meaning.. if we run into serious trouble, no res left.
Spent the entire first two days of the new way of ressing swearing at the henchies Gaining a death penalty of 60 is sooo much easier now.
Btw, does Prof. Gai have flesh of my flesh? If he has, he needs to learn to use it.

yeah he has it its just he uses it when he has less then a quarter health left so he almost kills himself then gets the person he ressed killed again since they have no health to begin with

Well, seeing that I travel around with henchmen 90% of the time, I absolutely love this update to improve the henchmen ressurection rate.
Now I'm exploring at a higher efficiency rate!

The AI needs to differetiate between a wipe situation vs a non-wipe situation to use res sig.
1 Human, 7 henchies.
Encounter a group of bad guys. 2 henchies (not monks) die, but only 1 bad guy left.
Henchies dont res.
Another group of bad guys. Monk henchie dies quickly, with more monsters than henchies alive.
Res monk immediately.
Next mob. Half the bad guys die. 5 henchies die. Player decides to run away to rebirth 1 by 1.
Henchies should not run in and re-aggro just to use res sig.
